SAP IS-U consultant needed for a 12 month contract near Gent, Belgium.
Our customer requires a SAP IS-U consultant for a 12 month contract near Gent, Belgium. The role is to start at the beginning of January 2013.
The project is Dutch speaking, and also requires fluent English.

Assignment
1. Assisting the module specialist SAP ISU in the following areas:
- Project analysis (during the definition phase of a project the full impact on the SAP Back End system mapping, and propose different solutions, business guidance in choosing the final solution)
- Projects (implementation of the ISU portion within SAP projects), more specifically for the project "Smart meters" "when the integration flows between the AMI/MDM/MOC and SAP ISU.
- Maintenance and support (root cause analysis of problems, definition and implementation of a solution)
2. The delivery of functional specs for new ABAP programs and Enterprise Services or the adaptation of existing ABAP programs within the framework of projects, execution of requests for maintenance or troubleshooting incident tickets. Assignments on the optimization of existing Z-programs can also be part of this assignment.
Expected knowledge
1. Thorough knowledge of ISU integration aspects with other functional modules (mainly Finance).
2. Expert Knowledge of the customizing for ISU and integration aspects with other functional modules (mainly Finance) and MDM, SMP & MOC.
3. Extensive experience in the utilities sector and in the Belgian energy common integration scenarios, especially in the context of the introduction of Smart Meters.
4. Good knowledge of ABAP programming language (providing functional specs, problem solving & debugging of ABAP programs, user exits, function modules, performance improvements, enterprise services).
5. Good knowledge of automation capabilities within SAP and application integration in general.
Expected experience
1. Minimum 8 years' experience as a SAP consultant in the fields as described under ' expected knowledge "
2. Experience with ABAP programming is required
3. Experience in SAP ISU projects or maintenance tasks on complex SAP systems
4. Extensive integration of flows within the utilities sector needs to able to frame towards an efficient design
Additional specifications
1. Communicates fluently in Dutch and has a good knowledge of English
2. Can in a very short time to build knowledge around processes and their implementation in SAP
3. Can completely independently and with minimal support a task finishing
4. Experience with ITIL processes is an asset
