Core Competency:
*Development of a mid- to long-term vision/strategy on the purchasingcategories to optimize the value for the client, support the client'stechnology evolutions, and align supplier's capabilities with theclient's quality and volume requirements.
*Development of the client's market knowledge on the purchasingcategory.
*Management of the supply base and development of SupplierRelationships to meet business requirements: assurance of supply,quality, regulatory, service, cost, and innovation.
*Drive the client's internal alignement
Description:
*Lead the Procurement activities for the "Syringes" portfolio -a highlysensitive purchasing category that has strong implications on finalproducts.
*Further develop the current Sourcing strategy on the portfolio, eg
oIdentify and develop levers to reduce the total cost, improveworking capital, generate added value,
oConsolidate the supply base,
oEnsure business continuity through a suitable Risk ManagementPlan,
oPlan emergency sourcing for pandemic situations,
oIntroduce new suppliers to challenge the current base,
*Drive alignment at global level with all departments (Quality,Engineering, Business Units, Provisioning, New Products Introduction, ).
*Drive the relationship with suppliers to ensure their strategicalignment with the client.
*Develop Market knowledge to leverage all added value opportunitieswithin the client.
*Lead and motivate a global network of sourcing buyers for thedevelopment and implementation of harmonized sourcing strategies
*Ensure a key role as Business Partner by aligning procurementstrategies with business objectives/requirements.
*Lead the yearly Supplier Performance Evaluations.
*Support the introduction of new products through the client's globalnetwork.
*Develop Sourcing & Procurement best practices in the portfolio.

*Master level in economics or Business management, or industrialmanagement
*Preferably, Specialized Master in Procurement or MBA or equivalent
