Area Manager Infrastructure - Storage/MW/Middleware/DBA/Networking
Maximus is seeking a Manager for Stockholm who ideally can speak swedish, that will relieve my clients existing Infra Area Responsible (IAR) for the areas of Storage, Database and Middleware which it will partly go to another area of responsibility, for a consultancy based in Europe.
IAR is positioned on the IT Infrastructure Division and is responsible for strategic technology areas DBA, Storage and MW IIAR leads a group of engineers, architects and system operators manage and develop the products and platforms available in the area of responsibility.
The products my client currently use is Oracle and SQL Server database, Java and Microsoft-based solutions for MW and our storage solutions based on products from Cisco, Symantec, HP and EMC.The IAR is set to work closely with the corresponding roles in Operation.
The main duties of this role will be:
- Responsible for the strategy, management and development of the platforms and systems available in the area.
- You are responsible for the supervision and leadership and you are expected to coach and inspire employees in your group.
- Labour Leadership also means that you, along with team leader, responsible for staffing, planning and allocation of work.
- The work also includes responsibility for finance and vendor contacts/follow-up.
Specific skills
- Experience of project/team leadership in large organizations
- Experience of financial responsibility
- Procurement Competence against both internal and external supplier
- Experience of ITIL processes
- Knowledge of platforms within the current Infrastructure Division
