Our client, a leading consultancy, seeks a Senior Expatriate Payroll Reviewer to come on board ASAP
The role of the expatriate payroll senior associate is to assist with the reviewing of the monthly and quarterly calculations for a total portfolio of over 130 expatriate payroll clients including annual end of year statutory reporting requirements. When needed it will also include preparation of client payrolls to assist the team. In addition the role will also include key activities to a transitional project and implantation of around a further 150 payrolls during tax year in readiness of RTI (Real Time Information).

Responsibilities will include:
*Calculation and review of UK PAYE & NIC liability across all payrolls through the STAR payroll system.
*Part of the role will be to assist the preparer where challenging manipulation and analyst of compensation data occurs to ensure improved processes are put in place to capture the appropriate earnings types liable to UK PAYE & NIC.
*When needed the role will require additional support to management to help deliver high level tasks and ensure that we delivery as a team.
*During the critical end of year process there are a number of statutory obligations to meet and it is crucial that the individual has excellent organisational and work management skills and has the ability to work to tight deadlines.
*Working on the modified and shadow payroll end of year process, which consists of the following events: End of year reconciliation/payroll review for :-
*Employer's Annual Return form P35/P14/P60
*Annual NIC Settlement Return
*Start year monthly & quarterly payroll calculations
*For tax year and in respect to Real Time Information (RTI), key changes to legislation will mean that reviewers will have a greater responsibility on delivering monthly submissions to HMRC for the client, as the current yearly P35 submission will be discontinued.

To be considered for the role, candidates will need to demonstrate:
*The successful applicant will be tax technically accomplished as well as being conversant on STAR payroll. This is key to delivering a high performance review of the payroll calculations and service to our clients.
*The successful candidate will work closely with their Payroll Preparer and will perform checks on all prepared tasks. They will also provide training and guidance to develop the preparer's knowledge both from expat technical point along with STAR system.
*Strong in both written and verbal communications
*Drive and determination
*Good customer service skills
*Demonstrated organisational skills
*Proficient in Excel
*Expat Tax/Payroll technical skills/experience
*Flexibility and good team working skills
*STAR payroll system experience
*Supervisory skills/Team Leader experience
