BACKGROUND
The messaging engineering team is accountable for the engineering of services maintained in the following 3 technical clusters:
* SMS/MMS.
* Residential eMail and Anti Virus/Anti Spam solutions.
* Voicemail for Fixed, Mobile and Hosted customers.
The team consists of messaging solution engineers that have a technical seniority in their specific domain. As such, they participate in projects that impact our messaging services.
Additionally, the messaging solution engineer is technically leading the projects that are focussed on the integration of vendor solutions within our infrastructure environment.
At this moment we notice that the translation from the vendor application requirements to our infrastructure domain requirements requires special focus to deliver "first time right".
DESCRIPTION As a Messaging Integration Coordinator you will:
* Closely cooperate with the application engineer and domain architect to do the intake of the vendor requirements.
* Understand the overall technical solution strategy and check the feasibility with respect to the integration infrastructure.
* Assure that the functional messaging application requirements are correctly translated to infrastructure requirements.
* Closely cooperate with the infrastructure architect that will define the required IT, Network and Security deployments.
* Prepare and drive the changes required to implement the required IT, Network and Security deployments.
* Contribute to and finalise the Messaging Integration Specification template.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
* In deploying services in a large company with a complex IT and/or TELCO infrastructure.
* With the Information Technology domain:
Architectural view on virtualisation, Storage, Servers & OS (eg Unix, Linux, Windows), DB (eg SQL, Oracle), Middleware (eg Beaweblogic, XML gateways), Loadbalancers, Firewalls.
* Experience with Project Management and cross departmental team interaction is an added value.
