For our international client in the Netherlands, Rijswijk, we are looking for a CICS system engineer.

Working Environment
The z/OS and Subsystems team manage the technical infrastructure for the
Mainframe computer systems.
The present Mainframe system installed at our client is an IBM zEC, running z/OS 1.13 and supporting approximately 120 CICS 4.2 regions.
These are spread across 7 z/OS lpars managed by CPSM.
The main programming languages and associated sub-systems are Assembler, Cobol, PL1, C/C++, MQSeries, TCP/IP, and DB2.
The CICS system engineering team forms part of the z/OS and subsystems department in the System Engineering directorate.
As part of a recent re-organisation, the CICS and MQSeries sub-teams were merged so this role encompasses some aspects of both environments.
There are 4 MQSeries queue managers running on z/OS at the moment.

Job Description
CICS system engineer in the CICS system engineering team Assist the team in the CICS system installation, configuration and maintenance Investigation and resolution of CICS related problems in both the test and production

environments
Provide CICS tuning and planning advice Provide CICS consultancy services to the application teams on new project development and implementation.
Provide MQSeries administration cover for other members of the team, defining
objects when necessary and resolving problems in both the test and production environments

Skills required
Proven extensive CICS system engineering experience in a CICS TS environment.
Preferably, experience in the CICS interfaces to MQ and DB2, as well as experience in CICS Web Services and CICS Transaction Gateway for z/OS.
