Real Staffing Group is urgently looking for an Electrical Engineering Section Lead for a medical device company in the Ontario, CA area. In summary, this person will test, repair and refurbish ultrasound system parts and peripherals inventory. Lead and supervise the Ultrasound Parts and Peripherals Repair Section. Parts and peripherals include PCBs, controllers, user interfaces, trackballs, monitors, power supplies, and transducers. Repair and refurbish parts and peripherals to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) specifications of operation and to the highest level of quality and reliability.

Requirements:

1. Perform incoming acceptance inspection and testing to maintain a complete and accurate inventory of parts.

2. Perform component level troubleshooting and repair using multimeter and other test equipment, without use of schematics or drawings.

3. Perform removal, replacement and soldering of miniature and micro-miniature electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, transistors, flat packs, ICs, etc., using a microscope.

4. Refurbish ultrasound parts to meet Federal Drug Administration requirements.

5. Provide technical support to engineers, technicians, sales reps, and customers.

6. Perform quality control of outgoing parts to customers.

7. Support company sales team in all aspects of ultrasound parts.

8. Perform required maintenance of ultrasound system test beds.

9. Develops, monitors, analyzes, and provides to management parts repair department metrics and productivity results monthly, quarterly and annually.

10. Ensures timely repair of medical device parts, while meeting/exceeding device performance, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.

11. Plans and manages daily Ultrasonic Parts Repair workflow and assign technicians accordingly.

12. Coordinates and ensures completion and documentation of failure investigations, including determination of root cause and corrective actions, as determined by the investigation process.

13. Reviews and ensures all repair work is documented/recorded in company inventory management system.

14. Develops, implements, and maintains full training documentation for ultrasound parts and peripherals repair training records for each parts repair engineer.

15. Specifies and sources all tools and supplies necessary to sustain and expand the operation.

16. Develops and implements processes and procedures for prioritizing and delegating both internal and customer repairs.

Education, training and experience:

1. Bachelor or Associates degree, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent military training/experience.

2. Medical equipment experience (especially in ultrasound) preferred.

3. 5 plus years of experience in component level repair.

4. Multi-Output Linear/Switching Power Supply Repair experience preferred.

5. Must have sufficient manual dexterity with small hand tools (such as screwdrivers, pliers,

tweezers)

6. Expert knowledge on computer architecture.

7. Good verbal and written communication skills.

8. Reliable and dependable

9. Ability to work independently

10. 5 plus years experience in an ISO 9001/ISO 13485 Quality Management System environment

11. Evidence of continuous quality improvement.

Salary:

$70K to $120K depending on experience
