RAN Validation Expert - France
On behalf of our client, Manning Global Group is currently looking for RAN Validation Experts to work on a long term project based near Paris, France.
The ideal Consultants will be responsible for End-to-end testing testbed including all possible mobile & fixed network equipment (RAN + CS-CORE + PS-CORE + Services platform), and coordinating with the Project Leader, test engineers, network engineering team, testbed support team, equipment providers, Handsets and CORE validation teams
Main Responsibilities:
- Study of 3GPP Technical Specifications, technology watch
- Update of Tests Specifications & Description, run of RAN tests
- Following of RAN equipment integration with supplier/manufacturer
- Management of end-to-end troubleshooting on the testbed
- Following of RAN equipment evolution and implementation of new functionalities/features
- State of the art and 3GPP TS analysis
- Test requirements definition according to the evolution of the network
- Performing validation of RAN equipment
- Writing and optimization of tests specifications and tests results
- Writing and updates of technical documentation (operation modes, testing tools, )
- Technical Support to Test engineers of the validation team and Radio Access Project Leader regarding identified defects
Required competence and experience:
- 3GPP Specifications
- Mobile Network architecture
- 2G/3G/4G RAN equipment (NSN): detailed knowledge of functionalities offered by NSN RAN equipment, how they are expected to work and how to test them
- Validation and configuration of RAN equipments
- Protocols: RLC/MAC, RANAP, NBAP, TCP/IP, UDP, FTP, HTTP
- Technologies GSM, GPRS-EDGE, UMTS, HSxPA, LTE
- Interfaces Cu, Um, Abis, A, Gb, Gn, Gi, Uu, Iub, Iu-PS/CS
- Protocols: RRC, GMM/SM, BSSGP, CC, MM, RR
- Monitoring tools: Tektronix K15/K18, Wireshark, Qualcomm QXDM
- Strong understanding, thoughts and analysis capabilities
- Solution-oriented, proactive team player
