Link Technologies is looking for a Staff Contracting Agent for a contract position with one of our clients in Las Vegas, NV. This resource will act as a senior strategic advisor to customers and facilitates contract negotiation and awards complex, high-dollar, and/or larger risk service contracts. Ensures that proper contracts are bid, negotiated, and developed that support corporate and portfolio business goals and meets customer service level agreement requirements. Also acts as informal leader and mentor/Train company employees and less experienced Contracting Agents. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a senior strategic advisor to customers and facilitates contract negotiation and awards complex, high-dollar, and/or larger risk service contracts:
  • Coordinates with the customer to develop technical specifications, statement of work, and provide evaluation scoring analysis for vendor bids
  • Submits Request for Proposal (RFP), conducts appropriate pre-bid meetings, evaluates, negotiates and awards complex, high-dollar, and/or larger risk service contracts
  • Optimizes corporate value by competing and awarding cost savings contracts
  • Executes Supplier Diversity initiative during competitive bid and award process
  • Conducts pricing analysis on bids received and develops technical scoring system to assist in customers' technical evaluations
  • Maintains list of qualified contractors and facilitates contractor performance/qualification process
  • Participates in strategic initiatives led by Strategic Sourcing and Continuous Improvement team
  • Understands internal customers' annual project initiatives and plans to meet service level requirements
  • Ensures that all contracts are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other corporate policies and procedures
  • Develops contract terms and conditions with Legal department as needed
  • Ensures proper documentation of all phases of the contract creation and negotiation process
  • Upholds commitment to customer service level agreements
  • Actively monitor market conditions and research new opportunities for strategic sourcing and company-wide contracts
  • Educates internal customers' staff and upholds corporate purchasing/contracting policies and chart of authority compliance on all contracting activities
  • Helps Procurement Manager create training plans for new Contracting Agent hires and serves as an informal advisor and mentor.

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge in supply chain/procurement/contracts management and procedures.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, leadership skills, negotiation skills, and analytical skills.
  • Equipment and Applications PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in the area of specialty and 6+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
