Description
The Global Banking and Markets (GBM) arm of a market leading Global Banking Group is looking to hire a contract Financial Analyst on an initial 6 month contract to assist with IT Planning and Financial Analysis. This role is based in Canary Wharf, London, will pay between £300 - £375 per day.The overall role purpose is as follows:
- Ensure IT and service costs are correctly allocated and recorded in the General Ledger (Cognos / TM1 / Hyperion Essbase)
- Review costs at a detailed level identifying, analysing and understanding any variances from plan, previous month and previous year
- Production of monthly MI (Management Information) packs
- Business Partner with various Finance Teams and finance Asset Class working groups
- Provide support for planning and forecasting purposes, specifically AOP and ROP production processes
- Undertake in depth Financial and Planning Analysis
- Provide input into development and enhancements of finance systems and processes
- Undertake planning, budgeting and financial forecasting
- Undertake solid accounting and financial management
The successful candidate will have the following background:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, FCCA)
- Financial Analysis qualification would be an added bonus (CFA)
- MS Access knowledge
- Cognos / TM1 / Hyperion / Essbase knowledge
- Excellent financial and data analysis skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Able to manipulate large volumes of complex financial data
- Experience conducting financial analysis within an Investment Banking, Corporate Banking or Financial Services environment
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities
- History of being proactive, determined and hardworking in the work place
This is a 6 month contract based in London paying £300 - £375 per day, and is an excellent opportunity to secure a role at the start of Q1 2013.
