Infrastructure Consultant/DBA - Oracle, SQL, Unix
Our client has a 6 month+ contract role for an experienced hands on Infrastructure/DBA consultant, working on-site with one of their key customer accounts in Cork. You will be involved in delivery and support of projects, across multiple applications, databases and operating systems.
The position will be based primarily on client site in Cork.
The role requires someone who has a broad understanding of technology ( infrastructure, databases, storage) with a good grasp of project management principles.
The role covers all aspects of infrastructure, applications and databases. It requires someone who can work on their own initiative and specialising in the database and/or infrastructure areas below.
The ideal Consultant will have the following:
Excellent troubleshooting ability, Strong infrastructure and database experience (SQL Server and/or Oracle); Ability to diagnose issues across multiple platforms and technologies.
Technical Skills:
Oracle and/or SQL Server Databases (Performance tuning), Disk storage systems, Windows and Unix operating systems, Citrix & vSphere.
