Description
A leading brokerage house within Singapore has an opening for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer/Team Lead. Working as part of a dynamic and diverse regional team the Senior Systems Engineer will benefit from exposure to a fast paced trading environment, leading technologies and a supportive and developing working culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide Systems Engineering and Level 3 Operations support across the APAC regional data centres
- Coordinate the implementation of new systems
- Assist with improving Change & Control Management Processes
- Participate in Infrastructure designs initiatives
- Manage and review staff competence levels to maintain a team of well-trained and highly motivated staff
- Assist with budget and IT costs control
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in field and/or related field
- 6 years relevant hands on experience as a Senior Systems Engineer working with hosting/data centre operations
- Strong technical knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory (AD)/Server management, VMWare and related virtualization technologies (eg VMView, VMotion, VCentre etc.), Patch and Security management, DNS and DHCP management
- Performance tuning tools and systems/network monitoring tool (eg ITRS)
- Servers and Desktops' images Management - Altiris
- Hands on SAN configuration and management experience. HDS SAN knowledge will be an advantage
- Possesses an ability to work well with local, regional and global teams
- Hands on experience in deploying HP Servers, Blade Servers and latest Servers' technologies
- Good understanding of Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
