Support Team Leader/Lead Developer - PL1, Cobol, DB2 - 6 Month Contract - Dublin
We are currently seeking a Support Team Leader/Lead Mainframe Developer for a 6 month contract based in Dublin.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for leading a small Managed Service support and development team maintaining, developing and testing software solutions
- You will liaise with the customer/business with regard to requirements and support issues.
- Working with other development teams you will be responsible for the deployment and support of software releases to test and production environments
- Provide test support during the Systems/integration and UAT phases
- Provide input to the technical design of the solution
Requirements
- Experience of leading small support/development teams
- Experience of liaising with customer and business users
- Extensive experience in PL1, Cobol, DB2
- Experience of Coolgen
- Experience in IBM CICS and MQSeries would be highly desirable
- Ability to translate functional specification into software code with minimal assistance
- Good Quality Assurance skills
- Financial experience would be an advantage
- Ability to contribute as a team player in a dynamic and motivated team
- Good communications skills and the ability to work with colleagues in other development and infrastructure teams
