Summary:
Responsible for assisting in the creation and support of IT Solutions that enable success.
Education/Experience:
Computer-related or Engineering-related four year College or University Degree (or equivalent). Progressively responsible IT job-related experiences.
Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of the latest technology in programming languages, computing hardware and software and current development processes and tools. Ability to work both independently and with a cooperative team on complex projects that may span multiple infrastructure components or applications.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Working directly on application/technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions. Participating in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components. Working with vendors on the integration of purchased application(s) and/or infrastructure. Designing and implementing processes, or process improvements, to aid in development and support.
Primary responsibilities include 2nd-level support of the Microsoft software suite (covering nearly 100, 000 supported clients and 200+ supported Servers across the enterprise). This includes consultation, inventory and metering (usage) data, software distribution, configuration management, and reporting management for the entire enterprise.
Required Skills Qualifications:
Technical understanding of desktop technologies, troubleshooting server infrastructure, operating system technical troubleshooting skills. Good communications, analysis, organization and interpersonal skills. Desired Skills Qualifications: SQL Scripting, SQLserver database experience. Help desk experience dealing with desktop related calls. Experience with customer service and/or asset management techniques is beneficial.
