Data Services Business System Analyst - BSA - SQL - ETL - CMM - Business Analyst
My client is currently seeking a strong Business System Analyst to join their team in South Ireland on a 12 month rolling contract. The project is to build a sales star schema for the Group Sales Business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creates well-written, clear, concise and above all accurate document artifacts including functional specifications, mapping documents and process diagrams for the purposes of Datawarehouse construction, report development etc.
- Performs a liaison role between the business areas and the technical teams to assist in the identification of IT solutions to business problems, system design, testing and implementation of large and/or complex technical projects.
- Analyzes, defines and agrees user requirements and translates them into system requirements via high quality specification documents for the technical teams.
- Takes ownership of analysing data issues.
- Participates on systems development team(s) to provide data analysis support.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong SQL coding skills (particularly Microsoft SQL) are required.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and prior experience is required.
- Experience working with methodologies such as CMM is an advantage.
- Experience of working with enterprise scale databases is a distinct advantage.
