Our Client requires an Interim Product Manager, the purpose of the role is:

Ownership of Product Development from Start of development cycle to Delivery into full operation.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY/TASKS

Full business plan ownership received from Plan (ie. New product ideas, concepts & initiation); Technical and commercial positioning in the market, the product owner Product development & delivery phase to Product implementation with customers & supporting effective handover to business-as-usual operation.

Stakeholder Management: Internal Network Management within Development phase. CRM and Senior Programme Manager as priority, and provide appropriate support when required (eg. Customer Meetings).

Commercial Lead: Creates and adapts the most compelling offer based on the customer ' s requirements to deliver winning positions. Ongoing monitoring of the market during the project and timely initiation of required changes. Market Expert and Lead to the UK Industry in appropriate forums (eg. Conferences).

Marketing Mix: Creates and co-ordinates (product features, target price, promotion, placement). Understands comparative competitive advantages. Prepares and executes market introduction reports, and carries out status quo analysis (incl market position, expected EBIT)

Scorecard: Sets, owns and manages product scorecards that calculate and evaluate against KPI ' s relevant to his/her products and the delivery requirements

Timeline Management: Ensures product runs up as planned against agreed points with the business ' s Delivery function; Provides production and delivery releases

Process Management: An effective and mapped journey from Product Development & Delivery phase, and in line with client processes.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Candidates must have a B.A. Hons degree or equivalent, Strong understanding of the Utility industry, the products and services available, and the issues faced by customers and potential customers.
  • Strategic understanding of the business, and of the relevance and significance of the specialist area.
  • Proven track record of Business Development/Product Management (5+ years)
  • Understand the end to end process for delivering requirements to customers.
  • Knowledge of the UK Smart Energy Market
  • Relationships with the customer and the key internal stakeholders
