WDM Technical Support Engineer

Scope of Services:

(Task list)

Under the Networks Integration and Service department, responsibility of the deployment of our optical networks including technical support (before and after sales), as a privilege interlocutor for customers.

Subcontractor's Responsibilities

Responsibilities include

  • Before sales technical support and validation.
  • Deployment, integration and commissioning.
  • Follow up meeting, on-site technical assistance and Level 2/3 support.
  • Provide training for customers, subcontractors or service partners.
  • Prepare technical documentation to support the activities above.
  • Technical problem management.

Qualifications:

  • Engineer or University degree in Optic, Electricity or Telecommunication (ESO, ESE, ENST, DEA or DESS Opto-electronic, etc.)
  • At least 3 year of experience within Optical Networks.
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent French and English speaking
  • Proactive, flexible and open-minded approach.
  • Good experience in technical troubleshooting

Technical Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Optical transmission: Optical Networks, covering hardware, software and network knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of PDH, SDH, WDM, OTN technology.
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems (Linux, UNIX, NT/2000) and major databases (Oracle, Informix, Sybase, SQL Server)
  • Basic knowledge of CCS7 protocols, TCP/IP Router and transfer product.
  • Good knowledge of maintenance level 2/3

MUST SPEAK FRENCH
MUST HOLD A VALID EU WORKING PERMIT
