Description
Electronics Engineer, (Micros, SMPS, LED)Cumbria, 4 Months, £30ph+An Electronics Engineer is required for an initial 4 month contract based inCumbriawith a market leading organisation supplying into both military and commercial markets. You will be joining a team to work on the development of analogue and digital electronics, design for EMI and EMC standards and tests in mind.
You will be working on the design of hardware and firmware for lighting systems based on LED technology, mainly for military applications. You will be involved in the full product lifecycle, from specification through to production. Involved in everything from component sourcing, always taking into account obsolescence, availability and cost, through to the design and development of electronic control systems for LED lighting systems.
The successful candidate will have the following:
-Microprocessors/microcontroller
-Programmable logic
-Switch mode power supply design
-PCB layout and schematic capture (Altium Designer experience is beneficial)
-Design for EMC
-Embedded firmware/software experience is desirable
