Title: Sr. Mainframe Programmer
Location: Pasadena, CA

- Develops comprehensive business cases with cost, service, and benefit dimensions of proposed projects that are used at management and executive levels for funding and scope decisions.
- Conducts and/or participates in the analysis of client business processes and functional requirements and in the preparation of appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information.
- Produces workflows, process diagrams and documentation, and performs/documents gap analysis.
- Supports a variety of applications. Maintains/updates documented processes of managed applications. May document requirements and develop solution alternatives for new applications.
- Coordinates installation and first-use of new applications/processes.
- Analyzes/resolves operational issues by performing analysis of applications and recommends resolutions to operational issues and implements as appropriate following established change management processes/policies.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3-5 years in a business/technical consulting role
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Solid analytical skills
- Strong knowledge or background in analysing application and business processes and identifying areas for process improvements
- Strong experience with standard development life cycle methodologies including source control and release processes
- Solid understanding of application architecture standards and techniques
- Solid or advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite including MS Access and Powerpoint applications
- Expert with ASP.NET using C# and SQL Server using both WebForms and MVC3+
- Must know LINQ and EntityFramework 4
- Proficient in developing queries utilizing Sql. ETL SQL experience with SQL Server
- Finance background, specifically with Accounts Payable processes a plus
- Exposure to PeopleSoft 8.9/9.2 a plus
- Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to present information to both technical and business groups in a manner most appropriate to the specific audience
- Thorough understanding and ability to apply industry standard Change Management practices
Strong Front End experience including:
- Expert proficiency with HTML and DHTML, from a functional perspective, using both CSS and table-based layouts
- Client side frameworks such as jQuery/jQuery Mobile and/or other client side and UI frameworks
- Experience with working through and around browser and cross-browser compatibility issues
- Basic systems configuration to get sites into production without additional help, such as DNS and MX configs and SSL installs a plus
- Basic server setup and config using .NET 2-4 on IIS 6, 7 or 8 a plus
- Minimum number of years of experience required 3 to 5 years minimum
