DESCRIPTION:

Member of the product implementation team, works in a fast-paced team environment with a team of 30+ software professionals to support, bug fix, enhance, develop state-of-the-art web applications for our customers.

Superior knowledge and expertise required, must have strong business acumen to match technical prowess. Must be able to learn quickly and communicate with non-technical business contacts professionally with a strong English language capability, both oral and written.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Focus is on delighting customers with expert results in a fast paced demanding environment
• Quickly learn the business our applications support, and learn to communicate with our customers in their business language
• Learn the underlying technical architecture of our web applications, and be able to analyze change requests and determine the how to accomplish them and the impacts of the changes
• Understand the intricacies of application performance in a web architecture and be able to design and program high performing code
• Maintains composure in critical situations and communicates well with upper management
• Communicates and builds strong relationships with customers and technical team members
• Very strong team player who knows what has to be done and takes the initiative to ensure success of the team and the customer
• Some after-hours availability will be required in tight deadline situations. Understands the need for extra effort and is willing and able to do what it takes to ensure success

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of hands-on application development
• Ruby On Rails (expert level)
• HTML5 experience
• Business expertise is required. Strong understanding of business processes surrounding sales, inventory, scheduling, accounting and other areas
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage a heavy workload in a demanding environment. Self starter who knows how takes initiative and takes responsibility and accountability for results
• Excellent interpersonal, communications, and customer service skills. An active listener with the demonstrated ability to effectively deal with external customer escalations and build third party relationships
• Excellent verbal communication skills. Strong written communication skills. Strong organization and planning skills.
