This mid-sized sucessful pharma company located in south bay is actively recruiting for a Sr. Statistical Programmer to join their thriving group.

Position Purpose and Responsibilities
Provide statistical programming support for analysis of externally sourced healthcare data. This position reports to the Director SAS/ Analytics

Responsibilities include:

Effectively manage raw data from externally sourced healthcare databases.
Process, clean, integrate, merge, and assure the quality of large quantities of information from externally sourced healthcare databases.
Review statistical analysis plans and table/figure/listing (TFL) mockups.
Generate and/or review analysis dataset specifications and TFL programming specifications.
Support biostatisticians, medical writers and Medical Affairs staff in performance of statistical analyses, including generation of data summaries (TFLs) and ad-hoc reports.
Verify programming code used to produce analysis datasets and TFLs. Ensure completeness, correctness and consistency between analysis datasets and TFL output.

Qualifications
MS in statistics, biostatistics, or related field with at least 6 years SAS programming experience (8 years for SAS Programmer II position) in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry, or BS in Statistics, biostatistics or related field with at least 8 years of programming experience (10 years for SAS Programmer II position) in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
Extensive working knowledge and experience using SAS software including Base, Macro, Stat and Graph.
Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Understanding and experience with manipulating large datasets.
Good interpersonal skills to work with cross functional teams are essential.
Good problem solving analytical skills; well organized.
Takes initiative to identify and meet needs, resolve issues and recommend appropriate actions.
