Vacancy Details:
A vacancy exists for a Project Engineer within the Small Arms Ammunition area to join the Engineering Team
Responsible for the management and progression of engineering tasks within the Small Arms Ammunition programme area
Key Responsibilities areas:
1. To take ownership, prioritise and manage engineering tasks within the Small Arms Ammunition programme area to ensure completion within the agreed timescales and to the required standard.
2. To manage trials in a safe and suitable manner, from the trials planning stage to completion of the trial and the presentation of the data.
3. To undertake programme activities in accordance with the Life Cycle Management (LCM) Process.
4. To build robust processes into the product design and development activities and to provide process capability data in support of the LCM reviews.
5. To contribute to the risk management process.
6. To manage sub-contract activities where appropriate.
7. To interface with the customer both internally and externally.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree (Hons) or BTEC (HND/HNC) in Mechanical Engineering.
- A good understanding of project/risk management and the ability to use associated tools and techniques.
- An understanding of trials planning, execution and reporting techniques.
