Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an interim Management Accountant to work for a leading publishing/software solutions organisation based in Holborn, Central London.
The role is a three-month project to assist the Head of Management Accounts with closing the year end, audit preparation and reforecast.
Specifically:
Year end close:
* Preparation of year end balance sheet reconciliations;
* Analysis of Stock at Printers and Paper stock holding;
* Deferred revenue surplus analysis;
* Post month end journals and review of Cost of sales and overheads;
* Marketing reports preparation and tracking ahead of year end close.
Audit preparation:
* Preparation of year end balance sheet reconciliations and audit schedules;
* Adhoc analysis and reports as required by audit team.
Forecasting
* Assist wider Management accounts team input forecast data;
* Further analysis as required.
Ad Hoc Projects
* MHI monthly reporting requirements until transfer to the US;
* Analysis of Purchase Order module ahead of implementation of PO accruals;
* Departmental headcount review for circulation to budget holders;
* Other ad hoc projects as required by the Head of Management Accounts
Qualifications/Requirements
* CIMA or ACCA Intermediate/Finalist
* Strong analytical & Excel skills
* Strong financial accounts skills and year end experience
* PeopleSoft and/or Hyperion Planning & Essbase experience desirable; failing that experience of working with different systems expected
* Knowledge/experience of the Publishing business preferable
