Data Management Manager, San Diego, Contract to HireA large Pharmaceutical client is looking for Data Manager who is experienced with Data Mining to work on a new and long term project.
General Accountabilities
- Manages professional employees and / or supervisors; may manage business support, technical or production staff
- Has accountability for managing financial resources
- Provides technical guidance to employees (SQL, DB architecture, etc.)
- Provides clinical data mining through team resources
- Develops processes and procedures to implement functional strategies
- Has in-depth expertise in own job family and knowledge of the related job families
- Applies expertise to improve effectiveness and provide guidance to employees in own area
Job Description
- Oversees and ensures Team Analysts & Data Management Consultants successfully deliver commercially obligated analyses through Analytics Service contracts, Remote Service support, and future remote service offerings
- Coordinates & advocates for resources to ensure data flow is uninterrupted from data customers
- Coordinates Analytics Team resources with Clinical Account Management to ensure all contracted customers have remote analyst representation & support
- Ensures data integrity is monitored by team members through mapping of data, data "testing" SQL queries, ad hoc research / investigation of data issues etc.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS required. MBA, MHA, or MIS is preferred.
- Previous supervisory/management experience
- Expertise using SQL
- Experience with data mining
- Experience doing statistical analysis
- Ability to handle high stress situations and tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills
