An opportunity has arisen for a talented SQL Support Analyst to join a leading IT employer of choice on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing problem resolution and maintenance capabilities in addition to First Level Production Support..

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing system problems, recommending appropriate course of action, agreeing and implementing business and technical solutions
  • Provide Business Hours support for Production Application systems
  • Ensure that Incident, Problem and Change management processes are followed
  • Develop and maintain systems documentation.
  • Work proactively to ensure any problem areas are identified and fixed
  • Follow escalation process as appropriate
  • Assist with weekend maintenance activities as required in accordance with support processes.

Key Requirements:
Essential Skills:

  • 4+ years of IT experience with a minimum of 2 years in a similar support role.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • MS Office suite
  • Experience in technical problem resolution, preferably in SQL based application environments
  • Demonstrated customer service focus
  • Excellent Communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Technical Support/Analysis experience in supporting small/medium time critical processing applications
  • Possesses production support and time management skills

Desired Skills:

  • ASP.NET experience
  • Experience using tools within Microsoft Business Intelligent Development Studio
  • MS Excel + MS Access
  • Experience in Banking and Finance systems
  • Experience in Accounting Systems
