Senior Director of Technology________________________________________
The Senior Director of Engineering oversees all technology including development, infrastructure and R&D. Reports to the CEO and provides a direction to bring advertising delivery systems, algorithms, enrollment engines and optimization processes out of planning and into production as fast as possible. Maintain highly effective working relationships with all other company leaders ensuring that all products and technology are pushing the business forward.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
• Leading strategic and tactical product development by working with the Director of Product and Engineering Development Manager; combining leadership and technical hands on prototyping modeling or coding as needed
• Implementing and scaling the technology infrastructure
• Directing the planning and execution of projects and build a credible track record of on-time project delivery, consistently executing product pushes at least every three (3) days
• Manage and execute research and development efforts that improve performance of algorithms
• Evangelize, execute and ensure that optimization mindset is ingrained in culture
• Overseeing technical research and development of scalable computing for massive growth
• Improving stability of systems, complete the overhaul of production deployment, and completing transition legacy systems to cloud
Requirements
• Track history showing an ability to form raw ideas into marketable and innovative products while managing all technology decisions for a business
• Demonstrate out of the box thinking while dealing with problems that are often novel and not readily defined
• Ability and desire to build products that will change the world
• Must be well-versed in LINUX technologies, including team of developers and systems; My SQL, Mongo DB, PHP, Python; jQuery, Yii Framework
• Comfortable being the top technology person in the company
All applicants applying for the post must be available for the work for 40 hours a week.
The selection process requires potential candidates to take a series of tests to measure their abilities. Potential candidates will be paid a fixed price upon successful completion of tests.
A web camera is required for each testing phase.
