Client is based in Canary Wharf, offering a 6month rolling contract £pd
To assist in all aspects of data provision for the implementation of QRM across Banking Divisions for use in Asset & Liability Management, Funding and Liquidity Management and Planning and Forecasting. This is a key role required to meet the Group objective of introducing a strategic ALM platform across all Banking Divisions.
Specifically, the job holder will be responsible for:
* Defining Data requirements for IT
* Designing & specifying data mapping processes and user interfaces to transform source system data into a standardized ALM Data Mart structure.
* Designing & specifying data mapping processes to create QRM compatible import tables from the ALM Data Mart.
* Designing and specifying reporting requirements
Assisting with overall datamart design questions and issues
Technical Skills
* Experience of large data management and manipulation gained over minimum 10 year's development of programs, queries and systems.
* Experience of a large system implementation project across multiple Business Units and across multiple geographies, preferably in a Risk System implementation. It is essential that they are aware of the sort of issues that may arise with a central implementation across different locations
* Strong discipline in data analysis, reconciliation, data integrity, controls and documentation
* Solid and maintained knowledge of latest financial modelling techniques, product knowledge and the competitor environment
* Experience of specifying and/or developing ETL processes for ALM systems.
* Some technical proficiency in data analysis or SQL toolkits.
* Business Objects Development experience (preferred)
* Proficient with logical data field requirements for ALM.
* Knowledge of pipeline risk and prepayment risk (preferred); 5 years experience (min) of data analysis within an Retail or Investment Banking environment
* Solid knowledge of latest financial modelling techniques, product knowledge and the competitor environment
