QUANTITY SURVEYOR, ENGINEERING PROJECTS, NEC3 (OPTION C OR A), SPREADSHEET DEVELOPMENT, OFFICE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, COST ANALYSIS, PROGRAMME EVALUATION, UTILITIES UNDERSTANDING IE SUBSTATIONS, OVERHEAD LINES, ELECTRICAL PLANT, COLLABORATING WITH CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY.
My major utilities client based in Central Leeds has an opening for a 9 month contract for a Cost Assurance Representative/Quantity Surveyor. This exciting opportunity has arisen as a result of a requirement to facilitate a review of completed electrical alliance schemes, the successful post holder will be responsible for collating data to support this review.
Mandatory skills:
Engineering projects experience NEC3 (option C or A)
Experience in managing and operating office management systems ie filing and document control distribution
Spreadsheet development skills ie cost analysis, programme evaluation and variation/compensation events.
Reports preparation for senior level representatives
Able to work collaboratively with construction
Degree qualified with a relevant engineering/quantity surveying qualification
2 years post qualification experience with electrical projects
Desirable
Knowledge of substations, overhead lines and electrical plant experience
Utilities background recently
RICS/CIOB or equivalent
Key duties:
Collating and interpreting scheme-specific information
Cost and trend analysis using MS Excel
Identity and report on lessons learnt
Providing support to the Cost Assurance representative
Demonstration of value for money in specified projects
Role based in Leeds, candidates must be available for interview in Warwick on January 9th and start soonest thereafter.
