Contract Oracle/SQL Server DBA with Infrastructure Experience required ASAP Cork
This company is a large international services organisation with large operations in Cork and Dublin.
They are currently looking for an Oracle OR SQL Server DBA with at least 2 years' experience with Infrastructure to take on a 50-50 role in the European HQ IT team.
The Role:
- The role is a combination of database administration, project management, infrastructure and applications.
- You will be involved in fine tuning, debugging, troubleshooting and issue diagnosis across various database and infrastructure environments
- You will be responsible for taking the lead in issue resolution across a broad range of infrastructure areas including Servers, virtualisation, storage and Citrix.
Your experience:
- You will have at least 3-5 years' experience with Oracle OR SQL Server Database Administration and at least 2 years with two or more of the following:
- Virtualisation/VMWare
- Citrix
- SAN/Storage
- Unix AIX/Solaris
You will need to be someone who is comfortable working outside the DBA space, and be open and enthusiastic to picking up- new infrastructure technologies.
You will have an outside the box approach to your work - and be highly proactive in coming up with solutions across operating systems, databases and infrastructure platforms and technologies.
