Systems Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Contract: Initially 6 months
Salary: circa £38.00 per hour
The Company:
A leading aerospace client, dealing in the design, development and manufacture of electronic control systems for aero gas turbine engines.
The Role:
Our client is looking to recruit a Systems Engineer to join their busy systems team. You will be responsible for designing sub systems including modelling and simulation for engine control systems. The systems engineer will be involved in requirements and change management aspects of the aerospace projects. A key member of the systems team you will liaise closely with other departments such as electronics and software to ensure that the system operates effectively.
The Candidate:
As an experienced systems engineer you should have experience of designing sub systems for safety critical applications. Recent experience of using languages such as UML and Ada would be preferred but candidates with extensive systems experience using similar programming languages will also be considered. As you will be working on aerospace projects, knowledge of aerospace standards such as DO-178B is would be preferred but is not essential.
Candidates must be eligible for UK Security clearance.
Technical: Systems Engineer, UML, ADA, Spark, MATlab and Simulink.
