Description
Responsibilities:- Utilize IHS, Arc/Gis, drilling info.com (others) to research, download, filter and manipulate database information to produce production (oil-gas), lease acreage, rig activity maps.
- Generate from provided grids, contoured structure and isopach maps utilizing geoscience workstation software.
- Scan, digitize and geo-reference all types of hard copy geological maps, lease maps, etc. for use in many different geosciences workstation software applications.
- Create and maintain team files which includes seismic license agreements, transmittals, powerpoint presentations and maps.
Qualifications:
- Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geophysics or Arc/GIS preferred but not required.
- Geotech level knowledge of SMT/Kingdom, Geographix or Petra geoscience software is necessary. Seismic data loading experience a plus
- 5 years experience supporting petroleum Geoscientists within an exploration and production environment is preferred.
- Petra experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills.
- Ability to deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment.
