Information Security Manager - Financial Services

An opportunity has arisen for an Information Security Manager, who will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining Information Security plans, policies, procedures and standards across the board

Key Responsibilities are:

To assess compliance with Information Security policies and relevant regulation through periodic information security reviews

To design and implement metrics and provide ongoing management reporting on information security issues and policy compliance

To provide advice and support for the business in resolving information security issues identified through risk assessments, external reviews, internal audits or other external drivers.

To develop and maintain effective relationships at all levels in order to communicate information security policies and practices and act as the central point of contact for Information Security advice

To be the subject matter expert providing guidance on complex queries or projects to internal and external customers including the Groups Information Security

To support ongoing risk assessment of external and internal threats to ensure risk mitigation and Information Security practices and controls remain appropriate

To contribute to the successful development and maintenance of Information Security risk assessment framework as part of the Operational Risk framework
To support as required the change management and system/application development life cycle to ensure Information Security processes and concepts are incorporated into all applicable changes, systems and software.

Experience Required:

Extensive experience in Information Security or related roles

Significant Financial Services experience and knowledge of FSA approach and security requirements

Communication and relationship building skills

Influencing and negotiating skills

Experience of managing risks and issues

Facilitation and problem solving

Practical understanding of risk and management principles

Managing Suppliers

Building and motivating teams

Implementing Best Practices and Processes for Information Security
