Oracle DBA SQL Performance Tuning Data Analysis Data Modeling

Currently we are seeking a Sr. Oracle DBA to join our team of professsionals Seleted individual will support Oracle database issues and Must have EXCELLENT SKILLS WITH SQL performance tuning. Will provide both Internal and external DBA support and higher level technical issue resolution is required. This responsibility includes all aspects of the Support Ticket life cycle, from initial receipt, to problem diagnosis, work around and/or data repair, internal maintenance fix tracking and development, and assisting with Client testing and deployment. Additionally, team members will be required to participate in formal 24-hour on call schedules, and need to be flexible to occasionally fill alternate shift schedules, ranging from 8am to 8pm EST. Furthermore, some travel (less than 10 %) may be required for occasional onsite client trips throughout the US and Canada. Finally, participation in Client and internal training programs, internal version control and testing, as well as other client initiatives is required.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience including performance tuning of the Oracle database instance in a production environment and experience with SQL tuning in a high volume, high transactional database environment. Candidate should
have a working knowledge of Relational database concepts, relational logical modelling, best practices, and physical design of an Oracle database.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tier 2 internal/external Client Support, via Phone, email, and web, including receipt of issues, problem diagnosis, work around and/or data repair, impact analysis, etc.
  • Work with development staff on product maintenance related to client issues.
  • Assist clients and product developers with defect analysis and resolution.
  • Participation in client technical training and webinars and preparation of training materials.

  • Fast learner and able to learn about new products quickly
  • Experience in software and/or related functional consulting
  • Experience with ERP financial systems a plus

    Required Education

    Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
