QACC System Acceptance Test Engineer - Belgium - Urgent, Hot to Trot Contract - Fill Your Boots with this lucrative contract
On behalf of a leading Internet technology company I am urgently recruiting for a System Acceptance Test Engineer, to take part in the execution of system acceptance testing of customer specified, bespoke IP gateway devices. This contract is available to a contractor looking to start 2013 with a position real possibility to continue beyond its initial six month duration.
The role will be based in Antwerp, Belgium and is a technical and hands on role whereby you will be involved in multiple processes, from test cases, test plan execution, technical investigation all dealing closely and directly with customer and customer specifications.
Ideally you will have previous experiences in the field of Embedded software testing preferable in the telecoms industry.
- Understanding of common OS and SW concepts
- Basic understanding of the following technologies: Ethernet, VLAN, 802.11, USB, ATM and xDSL
- Good understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite (incl. NAT, ALG, VPN, UPnP, DNS, DHCP). Preferably also in an IPv6 context.
- Some hands on experience with IP Routers/gateways and IP Networks in general
- Understanding basic concepts of the following applications and their underlying technologies: VoIP (SIP/MGCP), IPTV (IGMP/multicast) and DLNA/UPnP AV
- Any experience with addtional testing tools is a plus
- Use of TCL and Bash is also required
