Next Ventures are currently hiring for a Server Infrastructure Engineer for a 3 month project based in Lyon, France.Duration - 3 months + extensions
Location - Lyon, France.
Rate - Negotiable
Language - French and English
Start Date - ASAP
Role:
* Responsible for administration, management, and performance of Windows (and Linux) systems for SunPower.
* Manage and monitor all network components (DNS, WINS, DHCP, AD, etc.).
* Perform routine preventative maintenance (server patching, updates, upgrades).
* Secure, backup and restore all corporate data.
* Develop, test and improve components of overall IT disaster recovery plan.
* Assist in the management of the company data centers.
* Support of and compliance to change management and documentation related to IT infrastructure.
* Provide end user education/assistance and technical support as required.
* Perform after hours support for production systems/applications, including problem investigation, escalation, resolution, and communication with IT and company employees.
* Work closely with multiple departments/organizations and collaborate with IT staff
* Utilize basic project management methodologies to implement IT infrastructure improvements and modifications
Required Skills:
* 5 years of hands-on experience in the design, installation and maintenance of IT Infrastructure.
* Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or a related field required, or equivalent education and experience.
* Self-motivated and takes initiative.
* Working knowledge of network technologies, hardware, software and sub-systems.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively deal with customers, vendors, peers and employees at all levels within the Company.
* Strong time management, project management and organizational skills.
* Ability to work effectively both in team environment and as an individual contributor.
