Unix Infrastructure Architect required who will have combined responsibilities.
As architect, you will designs high-availability solutions and performs quality assurance in mapping the proposed solution against the technical delivery feasibility.
In addition, you will act as Account System Engineer (SE) for complex Unix (AIX/Linux) environments.
This role includes a wide-variety of activities, starting from initial setup and installation to Level 4 support.

Required skills:
1. Technical skills
- AIX expert (AIX 5/6/7)
- Linux knowledge (Red Hat)
- Solaris basic skills
- Good knowledge of virtualisation techniques on AIX (Micropartitioning, LPAR, HMC, VIOS Management, LPM, NPIV, )
- Advanced Power HA (HACMP) skills
- Hardware knowledge of Power infrastructure
- Experience in Tivoli Storage Manager Client and Tivoli Data Protection Client
- Experience in program languages: Perl, Bash, Kornshell,
- Knowledge of storage infrastructure (SAN, SVC, DS, ) and network infrastructure
2. Leadership skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to assess risks and criticality of issues to appropriately prioritize activities
- Client oriented
- Act as senior expert and drives improvements cross account
- Good teaming and communication skills
- Able to lead a small team of technical professionals
- Basic project management skills
3. Other skills
- Fluent in English, both writing and speaking. Good knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a
plus.
- Resistance to operational pressure
- Ability to respect procedures, to review and propose improvements
- Flexible and willing to perform planned interventions outside the official working hours
4. Participation in oncall is required (+/- 1 week per quarter)
