Role: I/S Security Analyst
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 12 plus months
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Researches, analyzes & troubleshoots information systems compliance and security issues. Responsible for analysing compliance and technical control validation data to determine and report baseline variance for all applicable technology environments. Interfaces with internal and external audit staff to ensure appropriate and accurate responses to audit queries are satisfied in a timely fashion.
Prepares & analyzes compliance information to develop mitigation priorities, milestones and audit responses. Utilizing technologically advanced software, performs system monitoring evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with the corporate security policies and standards. Candidates should fully understand Microsoft server architectures & related vulnerability and compliance management. Functions will include scanning Servers for vulnerabilities and government compliance requirements to manage initiatives and mitigate issues with equipment owners.
Ideal candidates will be self starters who have to ability to manage their time and projects while driving initiatives forward to meet strict deadlines. Experience working with Retina or Nessus scanning software is a plus! Candidates must have strong Microsoft Excel experience. Compile statistics and create trend reports. Large Environment experience desired.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Server Technologies
Required 5 Years - Knowledge of Microsoft server security mitigation
Required 3 Years - Strong Microsoft GPO knowledge/experience
Highly desired - MCSE +++Must be 2003 current or higher
Highly desired - CISSP Certification
Highly desired - Ability analyze data, compile statistics and create reports
Required 3 Years - Demonstrated experience comparing large data sets utilizing MS Access, SQL, Excel
Required 3 Years - IT experience
Required 5 Years - Network and server compliance experience
Required 3 Years - Scanning tools such as Retina, PGD, Nessus
Required 2 Years - Strong understanding of IT controls - FISMA/CMSR/STIG
Required 3 Years - Linux Administration
Preferred 2 Years - T-SQL Experience
Preferred 2 Years - C Language Experience
Preferred 2 Years - Tenable Security Center
Required - Excellent communication skills
