Our client is a Global Technology Company with operations in Kildare.

Their Cloud Services Lab (CSL) drives a research agenda focused on Interoperability, Differentiation and Dependability in Cloud Computing.

Several of CSL's projects deal with complex, multi-dimensional data sets and require innovative application of ML-based analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Own the direction and development of CSL's instrumentation and analytics platform 'MERLIN':
    • Multi-level parametric analysis across compute, storage and network domains.
    • Interactive and cross-platform data representations.
    • Offline and online analytics.
    • Based on project domain needs, contribute to the group's research direction in the area of m/c learning and analytics

    Key Skills/Qualifications:

    - MS or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
    - Deep knowledge and track record of applying machine learning, classification and predictive modelling to real world problems.
    - Highly proficient with at least one programming language, such as Java/Python/C/C++/C#, and proficiency in rapid prototyping.
    - Highly proficient with current analytics tools: R, MATLAB.
    - Excellent understanding and knowledge of algorithms and complexities
    - Excellent communication and leadership skills
    - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    Desired Skills:

    - Strong research track record (patents, publications, presentations) and/or equivalent track record of shipping products.
    - Java/C++, Perl, Python.
    - Linux/Sun/Windows programming experience.
    - Good understanding of object-oriented programming, memory management, threading, inter-process communications and databases
    - Exposure to Cloud Computing, Virtualisation and Network environments.
    - Exposure to principles of information visualisation and visual analytics.
    - Exposure to HTML5.
