My Client, a large Oil and Gas operator, is currently on the lookout for a Senior Project Engineer to join their team on a large scale project. Candidates should have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering with an Oil and Gas operator. Experience on Brownfield projects as well as a strong knowledge of vessels and rotating equipment is essential to this role.

Responsibilities:

* Delegate for Engineering Manager.
* Foster a collaborative working environment between the client and contractor engineering teams to develop robust engineering solutions in a timely manner - make a personal commitment to "mobilise all brains".
* Expedite the contractor to deliver the Detail Design engineering plan - work with the contractor to deliver strong performance to quality, schedule and cost.
* Act as engineering lead for the client team document management process, to ensure thorough deliverables review and adherence to review cycle times, as well as streamlined flow of information from external stakeholders (subsea) to and from the project.
* Participate in contractor model reviews and take responsibility for consolidation and tracking of all involved organisations comments to close-out.
* Develop key project management system deliverables and procedures in accordance with the organisations Project Management System (CPMS) requirements, including revision of the Basis of Design.
* Coordinate management of change and decision framing processes.
* Facilitate weekly engineering progress meetings and maintain associated action register on behalf of the engineering manager.
* Maintain oversight of the ongoing contractor engineering systems implementation - implementation of intelligent engineering database systems.
* Responsible for the interface between engineering and procurement to ensure delivery of a robust package management process in support of the agreed Procurement Status Report dates.
* Lead the coordination of the company AFE approval gate on behalf of the Project Manager.
* Lead the development of the technical inputs to the project cost estimate for the AFE Gate; responsible for ensuring adequate technical review of the estimate by the client discipline engineering team and any relevant SMEs.

Essential skills:

* Qualified to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, mechanical discipline preferred.
* Extensive relevant experience with an offshore operator.
* Highly motivated, proactive problem-solving individual with strong interpersonal skills, ability to self-start, work unsupervised, take a lead and show initiative.
* Strong written and spoken communication skills - ability to communicate technically complex/novel concepts to non-specialists.
* Commercial and contractual awareness.
