Electrical Design Engineer
Electrical Design Engineer required for my key engineering client within the rail sector
Minimum of 5 years experience in the modification of existing rolling stock, but in particular must have the following:
Currently/previously employed as a electrical train installation design engineer
Able to Produce electrical installation designs for the implementation of GSM-R cab radio's or similar systems (ERTMS, Public Information, CCTV, WiFi, etc) to pre-determined standards and best practice.
Able to Produce supporting electrical design information (Electrical Risk Assessments, FMECA's, electrical protection calculations, earth bond calculations etc)
Knowledge of driver controls and general cab layouts
Able to Specify electrical equipment required (Relays, MCB,s, Switches, cables etc)
Able to perform Vehicle surveying
Able to produce survey reports for review/approval by the client
Able to Produce Bills of Material, installation instructions etc
Vehicle Maintenance and Overhaul Instructions
Current experience of CAD systems (AutoCAD preferred)
Awareness of depot procedures and site safety
Overseas travel expected
Clean driving licence
