Responsibilities:
* Perform lab operation with minimal supervision towards development and optimization of cell culture and fermentation processes including but not limited to preparation of cell culture media and reagents, sterile handling of shake flask and bioreactor cultures of bacterial and mammalian cells, bioreactor assembly, operation, monitoring and sampling.
* Operate, monitor and troubleshoot bench-top bioreactors and related control systems
* Contribute to process development experimental design, data analysis and trouble-shooting of processes, instrumentation, and equipment
* Maintain a current laboratory notebook and write concise report of development work. Provide project updates in written and oral presentations

Education and Qualification:
* MS/BS in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or related fields.
MS with 0-2 years or BS with 2-4 years of experience related to cell culture and fermentation process development.
* Hands-on experience in aseptic techniques and bioreactor operation, including control and data acquisition systems.
* Familiarity with working with various bioreactor control system and disposable bioreactors is a plus.
* Highly skilled in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with statistical DOE software is desirable.
* Strong verbal communication, writing, and listening skills, as well as interpersonal skills required.
