Software Engineer
Motivation:
Integrate the Patch & Release tools (including Patch Management Tooling) and processes of Software Development within the new WindRiver Linux Patch & Release setup to enable dev_patches and official patches installation by Software Developers.
Deliverables:
Integration of the WindRiver Linux Patch & Release process and interfaces in new WindRiver Linux DevBench
Job/Role Description:
Software engineer with experience of Linux/Solaris; Python, Perl development (senior), Shell Scripting (senior);
General: software development, at least HBO level/System Integration experience
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Main Task is to integrate the current self-made Patch & Release tooling on a Linux platform within the business Patch & Release tools (on Solaris) and processes
Adjust software code, identifying root cause analysis, problem solving, redesigning where needed, guiding and helping customer to adjust their Scripting/tools/processes, setup FAQ to generate WindRiver Linux patches by developers
Specials:
In-depth knowledge of RPM/YUM distribution mechanisms, Solaris/RedHat platforms, architect skilles and understanding of ClearCase architecture (Vob/View) for baseline integration and delivery to QBL
General Information:
Flexibility, teamplayer, strong in comminucation within project and to business representatives, analytical, good in time-management, good writing skills to setup user/qualification tests scenario's
