Planning Engineer - Aberdeen

Purpose: Robust Management and Integrated planning to ensure the effective onshore and offshore execution.

Primary Functions:

Accountabilities and End Results:

  • Accountable to the Project Manager, to facilitate and focus on the development of construction work packs I work instructions in a consistent approach and manner delivering execution work scopes and providing support to offshore construction, through execution and close out within the given time frames.
  • Accountable to the Project Manager to develop and co-ordinate the overall plan, with the offshore execution and onshore close out, providing detailed progress reports against key milestones and agreed targets.
  • Ensure that all planning activities are preformed in compliance with company policies, processes and standards.
  • Provide detailed plans encompassing all Work Instruction activities, conduct weekly planning meetings with the offshore Construction team.
    Chair all project planning meetings, developing the weekly and monthly management reports and issue in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with all teams to ensure: relevant activities are input, definitions of detail is sufficient scheduling and constraints are considered, risks are recognised and contingencies are developed.
  • Oversee the project plan to ensure accurate work scopes are entered into the project plans as to avoid execution conflicts and maximise resource efficiency.
  • Will actively promote Safety procedures, promoting and adhering to the Cardinal rules, Commitment to core values.
  • Immediately advise the Project Management team of issues, concerns, matters relating to project activities that may have an impact on HSE, schedule and or budget.
  • Works across groups to maintain an effective interface with key planning functions in the development and maintaining a robust and workable integrated plan

Critical Skills:

  • Good communication, networking, collaboration and well developed team-working skills.
  • Able to demonstrate experience in project controls

Basic/Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Proven track record of delivering a project management and integrated plan in the oil & gas industry Accomplished time management, planning and organisational skills.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Degree or 10 years senior planning role function in the O&G industry of which 3 years have been at a senior planning function

Position Based

  • Primarily Onshore with Offshore visits as requested.
