Senior Network Engineer/Riverbed
Contract - Mid January start for the right candidate
Our client is one of Australia's growing ICT services and solutions providers, spanning infrastructure services, managed services and information management.
The purpose of this role is to ensure our client receives expert technical delivery to upgrade and maintain all aspects of their internal network and external client networks.
The more specific purpose requires us to develop, test and roll out a process across our Client sites for Riverbed to manage and optimise the regular anti-virus updates to in excess of 20 overseas sites.
Due to the nature of this project this is a very hands on role at a single Enterprise size Client site, requiring an experienced, technically astute senior network engineer with up to date hands on and design skills. The resource require strong Cisco experience with Routers and Switches numbering in the hundreds connecting multiple geographically diverse sites and managed services.
Therefore we require a highly skilled Certified Cisco Network Engineer with skills covering LANS/WANS, Network Security/Firewalls (Pix or Netscreen), Routing protocols, Big IP F5 Load Balancing and QoS.
Riverbed experience at Enterprise level (preferably with certs) is a non negotiable prerequisite for this role.
The ideal candidate will have:
Advanced Cisco certification (CCNP/CCDP/CCNE at a minimum, perhaps CCIE)
5/7 years Network Engineer and Design experience
Riverbed - mandatory (RiOS 7.x is to be trialled)
Excellent written and verbal skills are mandatory
