Link Technologies is currently seeking a Sr. Technology Security Analyst for a great contract opportunity in Las Vegas, NV.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sr. Technology Security Analyst is responsible for the specialization in infrastructure and application security to deliver analytical security solutions in alignment with business strategies and standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:

General:

  • Promotes technology best practice' security standards.
  • Evaluate and develop approaches in creating security solutions to defend internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company data or web-based systems
  • Research and assess potential items of risk and opportunities of vulnerability to the organization
  • Manage and respond to security incidents
  • Collaborate with engineers and security management in the creation of security solutions
  • Support audit and artifact generation; including support for the operational team
  • Document and develop operational processes, workflow
  • Assist in designing controls to meet compliance requirements (PCI, SOX, MICS)
  • Provides advice and assistance to individual properties in the development of documented internal controls pertaining to Information Technology.
  • Assists with the control of regulatory submission documentation.
  • Participates in annual testing with internal and external auditors.
  • Leads and assists teams with their SOX, MICS, and PCI remediation efforts.
  • Participates in audit reviews throughout the year to ensure best practices are integrated into all environments.
  • Works with auditors to gather information for risk assessments.
  • Understands and helps support IT controls related to SOX, MICS, and PCI requirements.
  • Safeguard computer files against: accidental or unauthorized access
  • Pre-empt Accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, and disclosure
  • Formally evaluate security features of information products and systems
  • Carry out and evaluate investigative work regarding potential threats
  • Ensure training in security matters is provided to all levels of staff
  • Proactively disclose and Remedy actual or potential breaches and risks
  • Apply expert knowledge to initiate good security practices and planning
  • Take responsibility for arrangements for physical and logical security policy
  • Advise other professionals of necessity for security counter-measures
  • Collaborates with third party vendors, where appropriate.
  • Collaborates with IT and Internal Audit teams to ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Generates and provides regular compliance reports and scorecards.
  • Assists with the facilitation of Gaming, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Payment Card Industry (PCI), Privacy and Protected Health information compliance efforts.
  • Completes the Technology Compliance Risk Assessment process for applications and systems.
  • Develops expertise in the use of Compliance tools.
  • Facilitates meetings and drives agendas.
  • Provides 24x7 on-call support, as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or Engineering and 1-2 years of experience or 3-5 years equivalent work experience preferably in RBAC, IAM
  • A minimum of 1 year of project management experience is highly desired.
  • Experience or exposure working in Information Security and with auditors preferred.
  • Must exhibit knowledge of a hospitality/gaming environment and how the business is affected by regulatory requirements.
  • Must be knowledgeable and capable of working in a 24x7 environment.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • The applicant must be eligible for gaming license, which requires the applicant does not have a criminal background among other things.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), A+, CCNA and/or MCSE, MCDBA, MCSD certification preferred, but not required

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Individual exhibits a sincere interest and passion to become a security advocate for Information Technology.
  • Highly ethical and discreet, with ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be highly organized and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of information security protocols and standards, principles and practices including controls and data protection
  • 3 years of experience in web and windows application development utilizing .net, .net framework, Visual Studio, XML, Java, LDAP preferred
  • 3 years of experience developing RBAC and security measures and controls in a Microsoft Windows, Linux, AIX 6.1, Oracle , IBM midrange environments preferred
  • 3 years of experience in Scripting using JavaScript, PHP, PowerShell
  • Experience with multifactor authentication, certificates, soft/hard tokens
  • Ability to execute on multiple projects; organize and prioritize

PHYSICAL DEMAND:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The position performs the majority of duties and responsibilities in a climate controlled office environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:

Regular scheduled hours - Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. May occasionally be required to travel to various Client locations.
