Description
Software Testing:- Provide detailed geophysical testing of GXT's existing and emerging algorithms and software products.
- Ensure that products meet specifications and objectives both geophysically and operationally.
- Provide feedback to developers on geophysical issues and operational hurdles. Champion the cause of the user to ensure the best product.
- Develop testing plans for specific new features and regression testing
- Create synthetic datasets as necessary to perform testing
- Documentation of issues, maintenance of bug database, report of testing progress
Support:
- Provide technical support to internal users and feedback issues to R&D.
- Assist with documentation and training efforts
Requirements:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Geophysics, Math, Physics, or related; Advanced Degree preferred
- 3 to 15 years of related Geophysical experience
- 5 or more years experience in imaging or model building
- Practical knowledge of seismic imaging and velocity model building workflows
- 2 years experience in testing of internal software in support of scientific user base
- Working knowledge of seismic processing
- Ability to utilize and test software in an incomplete state prior to final code changes
