Canberra-based Federal Government Department seeking several Siebel Developers to join their Siebel Support Section on contract until June 2013! This Section is responsible for helpdesk services as well as managing a patch release cycle for a system which is built on a Siebel platform.

In this role, you will provide sound solutions to business requirements for the core Siebel system. You will work closely with internal and external business stakeholders to analyse defects and implement workable solutions.

Deliverables include:

  • Technical analysis of functional designs
  • Preparation of technical designs
  • Siebel configuration and Scripting
  • Preparation and execution of unit test cases
  • Resolution of defects identified during testing
  • Peer review of developed products and unit test scripts
  • Skills and knowledge transfer to departmental officers

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in Siebel application development, particularly with Siebel script, with the ability to develop technical solutions to business requirements
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and research skills, with the ability to provide timely and accurate advice on a range of technical issues
  • Ability to meet deadlines, working with limited supervision in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate complex IT concepts to analysts and experience in writing technical documentation
