Key responsibilities:

  • Be a key team member responsible for providing support to the networking team
  • Maintain network infrastructure to meet agreed SLA commitments with the business regarding systems;
  • Respond as required to Network Incidents for all IT&T supported systems
  • Resolving client technical support issues
  • Provide 1st and 2nd level troubleshooting and Incident resolution for the following (but not limited to)
    • WANs and Internet connectivity across internal and telco infrastructure
    • Routers/Switching infrastructure
    • Firewalls
    • Related software
  • Maintain and respond to proactive monitoring systems
  • Prepare reports for team leader as required
  • Resolve system support issues;
  • Willingness to be available for support after hours, as required
  • Other duties as required

Key requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or relevant experience;
  • HP networking certification ie. HP-ASE or Cisco certification ie. CCNA
  • Experience supporting a network environment with aggressive SLAs;
  • Experience with high availability technology, especially clustering and load balancing
