Our client is a high profile Government Agency located in Canberra. They are currently looking to fill a key position within their ICT solutions team. The department is looking for an Enterprise Architect who will lead development work associated with the department's Glossary, Enterprise Data Model, definitional taxonomy work, terms and definitions, and the uptake of the department's Glossary as an integral part of the enterprise metadata management system.

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering a data architecture framework for a metadata management capability encompassing a metadata repository that will include taxonomies and other department technical assets.
  • Developing and delivering a metadata standard for the department including the identification and delivery of relevant sub-sets for specific information domains.
  • Leading discussions, workshops and project meetings with business stakeholders and project team members in the analysis of requirements for a metadata repository and standard.
  • Providing direction on interpretation of business requirements and systems/technical documentation for the departments managed metadata environment and repository
  • Working as an effective team member or team leader; share/transfer knowledge and information with the team and help others meet team priorities
To be a successful in this role you must have:
  • Large Datawarehouse literacy experience
  • Experience with both Relational and Dimensional Data Models -approaches and advantages
  • Knowledge of taxonomy principles and practices
  • Knowledge of managed metadata environments and metadata principles
  • SQL knowledge (Teradata preferred).
