MY client is seeking an SAP Business Warehouse Lead to be part of a focused team working on the new build and implementation of an SAP finance system.
The purpose of this role is to act as a development lead and technical expert in the detailed technical design and development of the SAP Business Warehouse solution.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to apply your strong SAP BW hands on experience to perform the following duties:
- Work within the team to review design documentation, functional specifications, develop technical specifications, and to plan and lead the technical design of our client's BW solution.
- Strong hands on experience in SAP BW including the use of BW Open Hub Services.
- Provide direction regarding SAP BW design and development approaches, standards and guidelines. A strong understanding of SAP BW architectural approaches, technologies and solutions is required.
- Consult and collaborate with the Functional & Process Design, Integration Team, Build and Data Migration teams in confirming the BW requirements.
- Liaise and collaborate with the Integration team to plan the integration activities of business representatives, ICT system owners, and external 3rd parties.
- Provide input to the testing strategy and approach to be used across the project, and ensure that testing best practices are applied to SAP BW components.
- Assist the Test team to define test conditions relevant to the testing of BW requirements.
- Develop and review project schedules, effort estimates, and resourcing in relation to development of integrations between SAP, BW and Legacy systems.
To apply, you must have demonstrated experience in the following:
- Minimum of 7 years SAP BW hands on experience including working with ECC 6.0
- Experience in BW implementations
- Experience in using BW Open Hub Services
- Business requirements analysis and solid BW design experience
- Experience in BW data reconciliation processes
- Experience on full life cycle BW implementations
- Detailed knowledge in configuration of BW data, BW extractors from SAP ECC6
- A strong level of ABAP skills would be desirable
- SAP BW certified would also be desirable
- Proven expertise in SAP development management including team management, development approaches, standards and guidelines, as well as experience in SAP Testing and Quality assurance.
